Why this Islamic Course?

Module 2 of our course delves into two fundamental areas that form the backbone of Islamic scholarship: Qur’anic Sciences (‘Ulum Al-Qur’an) and Qur’anic Exegesis (Tafsir). In the ‘Ulum Al-Qur’an segment, we embark on a comprehensive journey through the history, developmental stages, linguistic intricacies, and meticulous compilation processes of the Qur’an. This exploration equips students with indispensable insights and foundational knowledge crucial for delving into the profound realm of Qur’anic Exegesis.
The study of Tafsir, or Qur’anic Exegesis, is a multifaceted endeavor aimed at unraveling the divine will encapsulated within the sacred text of the Qur’an. Through rigorous scholarly methodologies and analytical frameworks, students engage in deciphering and interpreting the profound meanings and wisdom embedded within Allah's revelation. Noteworthy among the myriad collections of Tafsir are revered works such as Tafsir al-Tabari, renowned for its comprehensive approach; Tafsir ibn Kathir, celebrated for its depth and clarity; Tafsir al-Jalalayn, known for its accessibility and concise explanations; and Tafsir Al-Kabir, revered for its scholarly rigor and insights. These esteemed works serve as guiding lights in the scholarly pursuit of understanding and elucidating the divine wisdom enshrined within the Qur’an.

I feel that the most impactful module was Tasawwuf because it really spoke to me from the heart, it made me reflect on what I have been doing right and what I've been doing wrong and for me to make myself a better person. I feel like I need some kind of motivation to keep on pursuing my religion and to learn more about my religion and that is what this course provides me with. This course, it gives me a checkpoint that every single week, at least I come back and I  learn something about Islam.

I’ve actually been studying in SimplyIslam for 13 years so it's more than half my life! SimplyIslam really shaped my understanding of Islam and how I should live my life as a Muslimah, so I'm very thankful for SimplyIslam. Having a structured lesson or course such as Al-Mishkat really emphasizes and builds upon our existing Islamic knowledge in a more controlled manner rather than having us to look for information online by ourselves.
